North Somerset SSP

Over 25 Year 10 students were given work placements in the academic year 2008/9. Students from Clevedon, Gordano, St Katherine's, Backwell, Nailsea, Worle and Wyvern all had the opportunity to experience the work of the North Somerset School Sports Partnership first hand.  The students brought a lot of enthusiasm, initiative and some impressive leadership skills to the table and collectively worked with well over a 1000 different primary school pupils in leading festivals, supporting cross curricular projects and overseeing OAA activities. 

Any students interested in applying for a 2009/10 placement should initially contact their SSCo via the PE faculty or school WEX co-ordinator.  Shane German, SSCo for Clevedon, Gordano and St Katherine's will accept up to ten WEX students in any given WEX week.  Places are already filling fast and you are advised to apply early to avoid disappointment.
